POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
ST. JOHN, a leading designer of luxury women’s apparel, is seeking a MANAGING DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL who will be responsible for developing the ST. JOHN brand internationally. Responsibilities include the management of ST. JOHN’s company owned retail and regional joint ventures, franchises, licenses and distribution channels.
This position is U.S. based (in either New York, NY or Irvine, CA) and will be responsible for all operating and financial performance with direct P & L responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsible for international sales and profitability, international business analysis, forecast International business growth opportunities and integrate consumer insight into actionable strategic and tactical recommendations
- Identify new international luxury business opportunities outside the current business activities for further growth and expansion of ST. JOHN - with heavy emphasis on China and Asian markets
- Manage international sales teams, foreign offices and act as the liaison with our partner.
- Act as a liaison with Corporate Marketing and our international offices and partners

- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
- Demonstrate a high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
- Adhere to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
- Adhere to local, state and federal laws
- Additional responsibilities assigned by supervisor related to your position/department
- Required time traveling to U.S. for Asia Market four times per year and other travel required to Asia for business purposes on a regular basis.
- Ability to work varied hours, nights, days and weekends to support the business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Candidate must have 6+ years of international sales, management experience with a luxury apparel brand and be able to demonstrate proven knowledge and business acumen of major markets and international business cultures - experience with Asian markets preferred.
